PF Book: Does Your Bag Have Holes?
April 7th, 2008 by Ana
I just received a promotional copy of Cameron C. Taylor’s Does Your Bag Have Holes? in the mail today to review here on DebtFree-Revolution.
I intended to put reading it off until after finals (coming way too soon) but already discovered something I really, really like about this book: it has an abridged audio version on the inside back cover! That means I will be able to listen to the main gist of the book as I drive around delivering pizza on the weekend.
So I will be doing TWO reviews of this book: one for the audio version and then (after finals week is over) one for the print version. Then when I am done reading and reviewing the print version, I will probably give it away as a promotion here on the blog :) Did I mention the author was kind enough to autograph it for me?
The back cover of the book says it is specifically about personal finance from the Christian perspective, with recommendations from Robert G. Allen, Finn Laursen, and (finally a name I recognized! LOL) Lou Holtz, the football coach for Notre Dame. On the front page are also recommendations from Stephen R. Covey (The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People) and William Danko, PhD (co-author of The Millionaire Next Door
) and I definitely recognize both of those names!
Skimming the table of contents I see four principles and six choices, so am looking forward to being able to undig myself from underneath organic chemistry to actually read it.
Hopefully, I will have the audio review up by this weekend :) And a big thank you to Cameron for mailing me a complimentary autographed copy to do this!

I just got my copy of the book from the author as well -perfect fit since i’m a christian personal finance blogger. I think i’ll be giving the book away as well once I’m done with it.
I’ve read the first couple of chapters, and it’s pretty good so far - but definitely from a Christian perspective.
