Blog Carnivals Everywhere and Snow in Tennessee
February 14th, 2008 by Ana
Last weekend I went on a blog carnival submitting spree, so I have participated in more than my normal carnivals :) This gave me the opportunity to find a couple of good new carnivals to add to my “submit list.”
First of all, I hosted my favorite the 126th Carnival of Debt Reduction on Monday. The entries rather nicely fell into three categories: Successes and Progress (which we all love to read about!), Methods (tips and tricks to use to reduce the debt), and the always important Attitudes towards debt and debt reduction. Lots of great articles, so if you missed it Monday (or are a new subscriber) be sure to check it out!
My post on vehicle maintenance and upkeep costing much less than a new car made it into the 112th Festival of Frugality hosted over at Lazy Man and Money.
Mrs. Micah hosted the 46th Carnival of Money Stories and included my money confession about paying stupid tax in the form of overdraft fees. That really was a hard post to write!
The 38th Carnival of Debt Management which is always at Credit Card Lowdown included my post Countdown to Debt FREEDOM.
The “big daddy” of all financial carnivals, the 139th Carnival of Personal Finance, was at My Dollar Plan and included my post on how Bank of America has taken rate-jacking to the extreme. Loved the Valentine’s Day theme, Madison, I just couldn’t do the same for CoDR LOL
Now for a new one that I think I’m going to like: the 2nd Carnival of Debt Free Living was at Destroy Debt and featured articles on the potential recession and the “economic stimulus-rebate-bonus-refund-whatever you want to call it” plan and included my musings about how I am not overly worried about a possible recession … because I am almost debt free but the house.
And that’s quite a few for me LOL Today the house is quiet after both my son and I having a snow day yesterday. It hardly ever snows down here in Tennessee (which I like!) and yet we’ve had two snow days in two weeks. So much for global warming. My son had me play a video game with him, and yes I got into it … and stayed up all night playing it because I didn’t have a clock near me. I’m sure there’s a blog post in that tale somewhere, but I don’t think I’ve had enough coffee to see it yet.

Well thanks for writing it, Ana. It can be particularly hard for those of us who blog about personal finance to admit making dumb mistakes. But we all do make the mistakes.
