Gifts in the Mail
Yesterday, I came home from organic chem lecture to find a FedEx envelope on my front porch, addressed to “Debt Free Revolution” c/o my name. I had been expecting this, just not everything that was inside it.
The package is from one of my board and chat buddies at the My Total Money Makeover site and contained a book “Think and Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill, a CD with a short seminar from Dave Ramsey, a new bumper sticker that says “Act Your Wage” for the paid-for Ford Escort, and a bracelet that says “Freedom” on one side and www.daveramsey.com on the other.
My buddy had only mentioned the book, so the rest of it was definitely a pleasant surprise. This same person is also sending me a copy of the documentary “Maxed Out.” The only thing I have to do in return is write a review of each :) It sure is great having debt free friends who can do this kind of thing on a whim! I can’t wait until I am also debt free and can do the same for someone else.
The bumper sticker is on my little pizza delivery car, right next to my Debt Free Revolution bumper sticker. The bracelet is on my left wrist, even though it is Signal Corps orange LOL. And I started the first chapter of the book last night before going to sleep. Hopefully I’ll get to the review in about a week or so.
